Levels of care

The Grove is dual registered for nursing care, mainly for the elderly and young physically disabled care and is fully compliant with the requirements of the CQC (Care Quality Commission).  In addition the home is independently assessed which ensures the home is fully compliant.  Lancashire County Council has recently awarded the home with the certificate for End of Life Care Program for Nursing.  The home has a number of Champions qualified in End of Life and Dementia Care.

We always strive to deliver the best possible standard of care in a warm and friendly environment.  Our clients quality of life is of the utmost priority.

Nursing care

Our nursing care service offers specialist care for people with more complex needs.  Registered nurses are on hand 24-hours a day to deliver medical care in addition to all other forms of support.  The Grove is also registered for End of Life Care, consequently residents can be nursed in their final days with adequate pain relief and control and have all the medical equipment and expertise nursing they need, supported by Macmillan Nurses.

Convalescence care

Allows the service users to recover from an illness or operation and prepare themselves to move back home

Young Physically Disabled

We are able to provide full time or respite care for young disabled residents within the home.

Residential care

Our residential care service offers a warm, safe and friendly environment, where people can maintain their independence if they wish, but have access to personal and practical support when they need it.

Respite care

This enables relatives and carers to have a well earned rest or take the opportunity for a holiday

Day care

We are able to look after clients on an occasional basis or regularly to enable carers to have a break, for mornings, afternoons or all day

Dementia Friends Days

A new service which allows relatives, carers and clients to visit the home and meet with our Dementia Champions to discuss care needs or just have a cup of tea and a break.
