Do you want a profession as a Community Support Worker?

Walton Homecare are currently looking for caring, compassionate and reliable people to deliver high quality care to clients in their own home in and around the South Ribble area.

Ideally, we are looking for staff who have flexibility in supporting clients at various times during the day, evenings and weekends.

We work with older people and people with physical disabilities who depend on us to provide the service we have promised them. Many of the people we visit need medication to be taken at set times, so it is vitally important we can provide reliable staff.

Being a Community Support Worker is a very rewarding job as you get the opportunity to make a ‘real difference’ to someone’s life when they need it the most.

Your duties would include the following but could also entail other duties depending on the client’s needs:

• Assistance with personal care
• Assistance with household and domestic duties
• Meal preparation
• Provide social care, such as shopping, visiting a cafe, visiting family or friends and clubs
• Provide companionship
• Monitor and prompt medication
• Delivering all of this with a person centred approach
Walton Home Care provides a service between 7am and 11pm, 365 days per year. There are a wide range of varying shift patterns so there is a good chance that we can find something to suit your available hours. We offer competitive rates of pay and also pay for mileage, training and uniforms. Experience in care would be helpful but not essential as we provide a full and comprehensive induction and training package, ongoing training, supervision and development.

All of our services are delivered to clients within their own home and therefore will include some travelling. It will be a distinct advantage to have your own vehicle however as a driver you may also have access to the company pool car. Alternatively, the planned routes are ideal for cyclists.
