Levels of care

Walton House is a registered care home and is fully compliant with the requirements of the CQC (Care Quality Commission).  We are assessed bi-annually by RDB Star Rating and at our last assessment were delighted to be rated 5 Star.  Also, we are one of the few homes in Lancashire to have achieved the award of Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care.

Nursing care

Our nursing care service offers specialist care for people with more complex needs.  Registered nurses are on hand 24-hours a day to deliver medical care in addition to all other forms of support.  Nursing Care includes:

Palliative Care

Walton House specialises in providing end of life care and all our service users are nursed with dignity and respect.  We ensure that adequate pain relief is provided for end of life service users.  We liaise with outside specialists and services such as Macmillan Nurses and St Catherine’s Hospice when appropriate.

Residential care

Our residential care service offers a warm, safe and friendly environment where people are encouraged to maintain their independence. All service users have access to personal and practical support when they need it. Other residential services include:
