The Grove Nursing Home, part of Walton Care Group is situated in the Rosegrove area of Burnley. The Grove prides itself on offering a friendly care environment whilst practising a high standard of care. The surroundings are light, spacious and extremely comfortable with an emphasis on friendliness and efficiency. We are Burnley folk looking after Burnley folk, in their own community. What could be better?
The Grove is dual registered for nursing care for the elderly, with either residential or nursing needs and is fully compliant with the requirements of CQC (Care Quality Commission). The home is also monitored by Lancashire County Council and the NHS and meets all their standards and requirements.
Donna Garrett, Registered Nursing Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the home. The quality of life for our service users is of the utmost importance to Donna and her team.
The Grove caters for up to 41 residents with a variety of physical and mental support needs with qualified staff who are on hand 24 hours a day. The home offers care at all levels from nursing, residential and palliative care.
All bedrooms are individually decorated single rooms with private washing facilities and residents are encouraged to bring their own personal items to make it feel like home. There are two lounges and a lovely dining room where residents are encouraged to get together for meals. The home also boasts a large bright air-conditioned conservatory used for regular activities and entertainment.
The appetising, tasty and nutritious menu at The Grove provides our residents with a healthy and varied diet. Specific dietary requirements and residents’ preferences are catered for. Meals are served in our bright and well-appointed dining room, but residents can dine in their own rooms if they wish.
We give you peace of mind that you or your loved ones are being cared for by compassionate staff, 24 hours a day and that their safety and wellbeing is paramount. We know this is hugely reassuring for our residents and their families.
My Grandma was cared for like she was a member of The Groves own family. Caring and compassionate but with genuine love and laughter. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Meal selection was excellent and catered for individual need, my Grandma asked for 'Eggs Benedict' during the last days of her life, and this is exactly what she got. All of the staff are beyond excellent, staff delivering direct care, cleaners, cooks, entertainment and management. You'll never understand the impact you can make. My Grandma was genuinely loved by all of the staff and she whole heartedly loved you back. If I could recommend you a million times over, I would. Thank you will never be enough.
